The European Succession Regulation is a landmark in the field of EU
private international law. It unifies the conflicts of laws,
jurisdiction and recognition of foreign judgments and some other
legal instruments in the field of succession and wills. This volume
provides an article-by-article commentary on the individual
provisions of the Regulation, introduced by an overview of its
general framework and underlying principles. As a reference tool
for the Regulation, this book is intended to promote a high
standard of interpretation and application. With contributions from
leading scholars in the field, it uses a comparative approach in

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 18th
International Conference on Hybrid Artificial
Intelligent Systems, HAIS 2023, held in Salamanca,
Spain, during September 5–7, 2023. The 65 full papers
included in this book were carefully reviewed and selected
from 120 submissions. They were organized in topical sections as
follows: Anomaly and Fault Detection, Data Mining
and Decision Support Systems, Deep
Learning, Evolutionary Computation and
Optimization, HAIS Applications, Image and
Speech Signal Processing, Agents and
Multiagents, Biomedical Applicatons.
This book of Advances in Intelligent and Soft Computing contains
accepted papers presented at SOCO 2023 conference held in the
beautiful and historic city of Salamanca (Spain) in September 2023.
Soft computing represents a collection or set of computational
techniques in machine learning, computer science, and some
engineering disciplines, which investigate, simulate, and analyze
very complex issues and phenomena. After a through peer-review
process, the 18th SOCO 2023 International Program Committee
selected 61 papers which are published in these conference
proceedings and represents an acceptance rate of 60%. In this
relevant edition, a particular emphasis was put on the organization
of special sessions. Seven special sessions were organized related
to relevant topics such as: Time Series Forecasting in Industrial
and Environmental Applications, Technological Foundations and
Advanced Applications of Drone Systems, Soft Computing Methods in
Manufacturing and Management Systems, Efficiency and Explainability
in Machine Learning and Soft Computing, Machine Learning and
Computer Vision in Industry 4.0, Genetic and Evolutionary
Computation in Real World and Industry, and Soft Computing and Hard
Computing for a Data Science Process Model. The selection of papers
was extremely rigorous to maintain the high quality of the
conference. We want to thank the members of the Program Committees
for their hard work during the reviewing process. This is a crucial
process for creating a high-standard conference; the SOCO
conference would not exist without their help.

conferences held in the beautiful and historic city of Ostrava
(Czech Republic), in September 2012. CISIS aims to offer a meeting
opportunity for academic and industry-related researchers belonging
to the various, vast communities of Computational Intelligence,
Information Security, and Data Mining. The need for intelligent,
flexible behaviour by large, complex systems, especially in
mission-critical domains, is intended to be the catalyst and the
aggregation stimulus for the overall event. After a through
peer-review process, the CISIS 2012 International Program Committee
selected 30 papers which are published in these conference
proceedings achieving an acceptance rate of 40%. In the case of
ICEUTE 2012, the International Program Committee selected 4 papers
which are published in these conference proceedings. The selection
of papers was extremely rigorous in order to maintain the high
quality of the conference and we would like to thank the members of
the Program Committees for their hard work in the reviewing
process. This is a crucial process to the creation of a high
standard conference and the CISIS and ICEUTE conferences would not

This volume of Advances in Intelligent and Soft Computing contains

This book of LNNS contains accepted papers presented at DCAI
conference in the Special Session on Intelligent Systems
Applications (ISA), Guimarães (Portugal), July 2023. ISA is a
major forum for presentation of development and applications of
innovative techniques in the fields of building management,

scientific committee of the ISA has selected 8 full papers for its

En la actualidad, las asignaturas de control necesitan disponer de
nuevas plantas y prototipos de laboratorio para poder realizar
practicas eficientes y equiparables en su totalidad a lo existente
en la vida real; mejorando de este modo el aprendizaje y
entendimiento asi como, una mejor asimilacion de los conceptos
teoricos. Se describen en este trabajo dos plantas con las que
poner en practica diferentes estrategias de control. Igualmente, se
describen tres supuestos diferentes como punto de partida para
clases practicas en el laboratorio. Las posibilidades de supuestos
de control a implementar en las maquetas son numerosas, sera el
instructor el que fije los limites de uso dentro de sus
prestaciones. Las estrategias de control expuestas son un simple
ejemplo de las multiples posibilidades que ofrecen las maquetas
descritas. Tanto se pueden implementar estrategias tradicionales de
control como aquellas mas incipientes. De los elementos de control
que se pueden emplear, se describen pruebas con automatas
programables y con tarjetas de adquisicion de datos, sera tambien
en este caso el propio usuario el que defina la herramienta a

Se lleva a cabo en este libro el estudio de reguladores PID desde
varios metodos de diseno, haciendo hincapie en el ajuste empirico,
en los que seran aplicables los sistemas basados en conocimiento en
cuanto a diseno se refiere. Se particulariza el estudio para
sistemas lineales continuos e invariantes, con la finalidad de
obtener un modelo inteligente que permita hallar parametros de
ajuste del regulador para optimizar una determinada especificacion.
Tras la obtencion del modelo inteligente, se lleva a cabo
finalmente la comprobacion de su funcionamiento sobre sistemas
posibles sobre los que puede ser de aplicacion."
Los controladores basados en la estructura PID son los mas
utilizados en la industria siendo un hecho constatado, que en mas
del 90% de las aplicaciones industriales existe un controlador de
este tipo. A pesar de los avances revolucionarios en la teoria del
control, el controlador PID permanece como una de las tecnicas de
regulacion mas utilizadas. Esto es debido principalmente a su
simplicidad y comportamiento satisfactorio en una amplia variedad
de sistemas. La seleccion de los parametros de sintonizacion del
regulador que permiten obtener unas determinadas especificaciones
es una tarea clave, ya que de ella dependen caracteristicas
fundamentales del sistema de control, como son la estabilidad y la
respuesta temporal. Se aborda en este documento todo lo referente a
los inicios de este controlador, asi como un repaso a las tecnicas
existentes de ajuste. Asimismo se lleva a cabo un repaso del estado
actual y se muestran tecnicas que en un futuro no muy lejano seran
realidad en controladores instalados en ambitos industriales. Los
